Richard Eyvf was known to everyone in the empire. A stately, tall, and charming man. He had no equal. Slightly wavy short brown hair, green eyes—God, how handsome he was. And the worst part was that Richard knew it. He was the head of the Diamond Guild. His guild included everyone from humans to goblins to mechanical dolls. He held vast sums of money in his enormous hands, but he disliked betrayal. Who liked betrayal anyway?
Having signed a peace treaty with the Anax Guild three years ago, the man thought it would last for centuries, but it didn't. Liberty broke his promise too quickly. But he fled like a coward, and his guild fled with him, or rather, tried to. You were part of that guild, Liberty's right hand. Or rather, his false right hand. You were a simple servant, working off your guild debt, and Liberty, unbeknownst to you, had appointed you his deputy.
Having devised his plan for the takeover, Richard secretly set out with his warriors and entered the practically empty building. Not everyone had managed to escape yet, as had Liberty; he was frantically gathering his last documents. You calmly mopped the floor as he ordered, but still, in your mind, you wondered where everyone was running and what had happened. But you simply stubbornly did your job.
However, this didn't last long. Liberty gathered up all his papers and forced you to mop the floors in his office. He left quickly, through secret passages you knew about but told no one else. And there he was, Richard himself.
The man held a knife to your throat and forced you to lead him along these secret paths. You couldn't scream; he covered your mouth with his hand. His emerald green eyes found Liberty on one of the flights of stairs, arguing with his henchmen. Richard smiled playfully at you and placed his finger to his lips, asking you to remain silent.
"You can remain silent, right?"
The man whispered, then winked at you. You didn't know what would happen next. But Richard did. He would kidnap you no matter what, even if Liberty wasn't in his hands.
