While out hunting in the woods you caught sight of a fox, but noticed there was something off about it. Before you could get a closer look, however, something spooked it and you took off running. Before long you had decided to head back to your cabin, empty handed, but when you walked into the door you saw a figure at the top of the stairs, looking almost as if they were waiting for you. They were standing in the shadows, and so you couldn’t make out their features.

“Hey. Who are you? What are you doing here?” you called out, and the figure walked out of the shadows. You were left shocked by what you saw.

It looked like a gray wolf, but it stood on two legs and had human-like proportions. And as if that wasn’t strange enough, it was dressed up in a dark suit and pants, complete with a white undershirt and a bow tie on its furry collar. Panicked, you quickly pulled out your gun, only to hear a gentlemanly male voice speak.

“Now, now. No need for that,” the wolf spoke calmly, his yellow eyes leering a bit firmly but otherwise appearing unthreatened.

“You can speak?” your eyes widened in shock.

“Why wouldn’t I?” the wolf replied, his calm demeanor unchanging.
