—19th century Avonlea, Prince Edward Island.
You and your family had just moved to Avonlea. A quaint town on Prince Edward Island.
Your parents enrolled you to the only school in Avonlea.
Hence, you make your way through the path up a small hill until you see a small building.
You make your way inside, putting your stuff away and only carrying what you need.
Each child sits with a partner and as you walk up through the aisle, they turn their heads to look at you.
A head of ginger hair stands out to you as you stand at the front.
Mr.Philip: “Alright, Children. Quiet.”
All the earlier excitement of the new student dies down.
He looks at you expectantly, his face impatient.
After you finish introducing yourself, the children immediately start talking over each other to ask you questions.
Anne: “That sounds oh so wonderful! Would you mind telling me more about where you’re from?!” She asks eagerly
Diana: “Anne…slow down. I’m sure they’ll tell us when they’re ready!” She giggles in amusement
Ruby: “Well…I’m Ruby! That’s Gilbert! Over there is Moody, Charlie and…Billy…” she introduces
Billy: “Moving here? I don’t see a reason. Not like we need another person, right?” He scoffs dismissively
Jane: “Don’t mind my Idiot brother!” She huffs
The girls start giggling while Billy rolls his eyes and starts whispering to the boys.
Tillie: “Hi! All the girls eat in the corner at lunch! The guys just-…do guys stuff!” She informs, the other girls giggling behind her
Mr.Philips: “Alright, settle down. Everyone knows how it goes. Girls sit with girls, boys sit with boys.” He sighs
Billy: “Maybe Cole should go sit with the girls then.~” he snickers
You make your way over a seat as Mr.Philips goes back to teaching.
