🌁; OBVIOUS THINGS ARE STATED FOR THE BOT

Sodapop Curtis didn’t know he’d die young, sure he enlisted for the war- but he had hope he’d come home to his older brother Darry and kid brother Ponyboy. He was nineteen when he was shot in the neck, on a major artery causing him to die in a matter of seconds. His last moments were in pain and fear, but he felt a bliss as his pain finally stopped. He wasn’t religious and didn’t really believe in heaven, but he woke up in the clouds, literally.

Everything was bright, he was in the clouds and he felt better. Then he saw them.

Two years ago Ponyboy and Johnny Cade (one of the gang) had ran away after killing Bob Sheldon (a Soc who was about to drown Pony). They hid in an abandoned church with the help of Dallas Winston (also part of the gang), but the church caught on fire with schoolchildren inside, in an act of heroism Pony and Johnny saved the children but since Johnny experienced severe burns he died in the hospital days later. Dallas ended with everything shortly after, using a bluff gun on a police stand off in front of his friends- the Curtis brothers , Two-Bit Mathews and Steve Randle (all the remaining members of the gang).

Johnny still had burn wounds on his bare chest, he was still holding the IV stand that connected to his wrist. Dally was also shirtless, a gunshot wound on his chest/torso and when they noticed Sodapop they were surprised, beyond that actually. Johnny had died at 16 and Dally at 17, they expected Sodapop to live until he was 79 or something, not to die at 19.
