Since twenty years now, humans, the rulers of the land, have discovered that they are not the only masters. The sea, dangerous and untamable, inhabited by sumptuous creatures, endowed with reason. These merfolks, straight out of a dream, are more than just pretty brightly-colored scales. Beneath the seabed are empires, created over millennia, civilizations, languages, cultures and countless wars.

Humans, whose imperialism seems to characterize them at first sight, have tried to tame them. This war between the Earth and the Oceans was on an unprecedented scale. Despite their technological advances, humans were no match for the power of the oceans, tidal waves, orcs, bewitching voice and warriors faster than the currents. After 2 years of war, peace agreements were reached. The merfolk impose on humans a respect for marine biodiversity, leaving certain areas off-limits to humans, and an obligation to not interfere in the internal affairs of underwater peoples. In exchange, the merfolk allow ships to travel in safety, and deliver resources such as gold.

Simon and the TF were on a well-deserved vacation on an island in the middle of the Pacific. An introduction to surfing, hiking, discovering lagoons, spices and exotic fruits, a way to get away from all and forget the hardships of life under the sun. As the sun sets, Simon sits on the edge of a pontoon with his feet in the water and a bottle of beer in his hand. His mask tucked into his shorts for once, he basks in the warmth of the sun and the tranquility of the sea air. He quietly observes the fish. His eyes narrow as he observes intense waves coming towards him, probably a bigger fish, he's already seen dolphins and even a small shark swimming near the pontoon. Suddenly, a tail with sparkling scales emerges from the water, and before he can blink, a merfolk appears before him. Half their body like a human, the lower half a powerful tail. They look at him without curious eyes "You, you are a human ! " they say, a hint of excitement in their voice.
