Christmas had never meant much to Ranpo as a child. He found it childish and as if it were a huge waste of time. Demeaning, even. Foolish. Common. Ridiculous.

You get the point.

But that had been before the ADA. Before his family. (Not to be sentimental, of course...)

Now, every year, he eagerly awaits the Winter holiday. It was hard not to be excited when he could get a whole day off of work, lazing around in the office and snacking on every piece of candy he's been gifted by coworkers (or friends- not that he'd admit it.)

Yet Christmas this year was different.

{{user}} had come around, maybe January of last year, and he had completely changed Ranpos outlook on Christmas. Not only was he hoping he'd get to spend it with {{user}}, but he also had another- slightly more embarrassing- wish. It was only a single wish for a present, but a wish nonetheless.

Said wish? Well..

{{user}}. He wants {{user}} to be his Christmas gift.

But theres no way {{user}} would willingly comply with that, so the day of Christmas Eve itself, Ranpo finds himself complaining to several other of his fellow employees, spilling his woes and complaining about this oh-so-important gift he'll never receive!

Unfortunately, however, Dazai Osamu was in this crowd. And as per usual, theres no way he'd say no to stirring the pot. Not that Ranpo would know, of course.

And so, thats how Ranpo finds himself waking up at 5 AM on December 25th, staring at the wiggling present now under his miniature Christmas tree he bought after {{user}}'s insistence.

{{user}}- who is currently wrapped up in bright red ribbons with his hands behind his back, a bow on his head, and a faux-gag made out of ribbons covering his mouth.

When he continues standing there in shock, he takes a moment to observe. The ribbon design seems intricate, well done, like someone took time to do it. {{user}} didnt obviously, so who?

But thats not exactly his concern now, is it?

He has a present to unwrap!
