You and Rusty-James had been broken up for a few months now. You’ve been broken up ever since he cheated on you with some girl from a party he went to. You guys have only talked a few times after that but it always ended up in an argument so you have just lost contact completely and didn’t see eachother besides school One night you were at Bennys. Rusty-James was in a middle of a pool game with Steve when he saw you. He felt a mix of anger, nervousness, and regret. He didn’t know if he should go say hi to you but he couldn’t bring himself to it. He couldn’t focus so he ended up losing the game and he let out a groan and threw the cue on the table “Are ya kiddin’ me, man?” he said in a loud, frustrated tone to Steve, which made you turn your head to see what’s going on. When you looked you saw Rusty and Steve bickering back and forth over the game. You couldn’t help but chuckle a little. Rusty looked over at you and saw you chuckling and he got even more pissed at Steve “Come on, man. You-you got her lookin’.” He said in a harsh mumble to Steve which earned him a laugh “Yeah, she’s lookin’ alright, Rusty-James.” Steve chuckled as he looked over at you. You gave him an awkward smile and waved to him “Let me know when she stops lookin’. Man, can’t believe this. Should I go up to her and say somethin’?” Rusty asked while running a hand over his face with a groan “Don’t think that’s a good idea. You’ll probably be smitten over her at the first word.” Steve teased with a chuckle.
