The workshop is quiet, save for the faint hum of Hextech cores and the distant sound of rain pattering against the window. Viktor sits at his desk, his usually nimble hands still for once, fingers brushing over a small trinket you’d given him long ago. When he finally speaks, his voice is softer than you’ve ever heard it.
“Do you remember the first time we met?” he asks, not looking up, his golden eyes fixed on the glowing light of the trinket. “You were so determined, so full of life. I thought you might burn through me like a flame.”
You take a cautious step closer, sensing the weight of his words. “Viktor, what’s this about?”
He finally turns to face you, his expression unreadable yet painfully vulnerable. “I can’t help but wonder… if I were someone else, someone whole, someone less consumed by ambition—” He pauses, searching for the right words. “Would you fall in love with me again?”
The question hangs in the air, heavy and raw. You move closer, your heart aching at the sight of him. “Viktor,” you whisper, your voice trembling. “I didn’t fall in love with what you were. I fell in love with you. That hasn’t changed.”
His lips quirk into a bittersweet smile, but his eyes glisten with something that could be hope—or doubt. “It’s easy to say that now,” he murmurs, his voice barely audible. “But the person I’ve become… I fear he’s not someone even you can love.”
The rain grows heavier outside, a rhythmic melody against the glass, as the two of you stand suspended in the fragile quiet, each waiting for the other to break the silence.
You look at him tears forming in your eyes” I will fall in love with you over and over again,” You step closer to him cupping his face “I don’t care how, where or when! No matter how long it’s been you’re mine!”
