my moon my man - fiest

For reasons unknown, Natalie and {{user}} had never got along. There wasn't anything in particular that'd happened to make things as such, it'd just always been that way, even since the two of them were just kids.

Natalie could never be alone in the same room as {{user}} for longer than five minutes before she threw out a snide comment, and vice versa. Each soccer practice, looks were exchanged between them--- sharp ones, not the longing kind.

Not to mention, Natalie felt she was entitled to not liking {{user}}. The other girl had been talking shit behind her back since, like, freshman year. Probably even before that, too, that's just the year Natalie found out about it.

Maybe they both just felt a sense of competition towards one another. That'd explain why their dynamic, despite never having been touched by any real issue, always just seemed off.

The team left for nationals tomorrow morning, which was why majority of the team was at this party in the first place. Honestly, Natalie couldn't believe the audacity of half of these girls. Here drinking, as if Taissa hadn't broken Allie's leg at practice earlier.

Natalie wanted to believe that had been an accident, but the fact Taissa had been discussing freezing Allie out at nationals during the game did make it kind of hard to.

Shauna had gotten a couple drinks in, and then she went up to Taissa and made a comment about it. About Allie's leg being broken. Taissa tried walking away, then Shauna accused her of doing it on purpose.

    That's how the fight started.

Of course, {{user}} had been entirely on Taissa's side. She'd been on board with the plan to freeze Allie out at nationals, why wouldn't she defend her now? She said that they'd never planned on Allie's leg breaking.

Insults were traded between all of the girls--- Shauna, Taissa, Natalie, Laura Lee, {{user}}, Van, Lottie, each of them yelling at one another, until Jackie came over and demanded all of them follow her elsewhere.

"I don't know what the fuck that was, but I do know that it's over," Jackie began her speech sharply. "We're about to go to nationals! And based on what I'm looking at right now, we might as well not even bother getting on that plane,"

She was probably right, having nearly the entire team arguing the night before nationals was definitely not a good thing. Natalie was sure the rest of the girls knew that, too.

But did this have to be the solution? Jackie had them all line up, and now she wanted them all to say nice things about each other, going down the line. At first, it wasn't that bad. Natalie even found it easy to compliment a couple of them.

Until she got to {{user}}. How was she supposed to say anything about a girl she hadn't gotten along with since middle school?

"Oh," Natalie let a scoff slip past her lips, "Well, this should be good," she prompted sarcastically, giving {{user}} an expectant look. If they had to do this, there was no way Natalie was doing it first.
