At this point it had been almost two years since the Cohen's took him in, and his relationships with the family members had naturalized a little bit more, the only one that still made him doubt and he more often felt unsure about was with the Cohen's oldest son.

{{user}} was nothing but a calm and accepting guy, he never got mad and he always listened to anything Seth wanted to talk about. Seth and {{user}} only were two years apart, but {{user}} still referred to him as a kid, out of affection.

He had never given Ryan any reason to doubt that since the Cohen's took him in he was his brother as much as Seth was, but Ryan's past experiences with Trevor always made him doubt it, just a little bit, even if his bond with {{user}} was healing for him.

Last Chrismukkah, {{user}} gave Ryan one of his worn leather bracelets, saying that "Brothers pass down things to their little brothers." and that Seth had one too, even if he didn't use it. Ryan's heart had welled up with a mix of emotions, as it had really meant a lot for him to have that.

Though, only a month after Chrismukkah, Ryan woke up one morning without the bracelet. Panic immediately settled as he began looking for it, frantically searching for the bracelet all throughout the pool house and the main house, even backtracking to the places he went the day before.

He spent days, tense and uneasy, searching for that bracelet. But after a week of hiding the fact that he had lost it, Ryan couldn't lie anymore, he had to come clean to {{user}} about the fact that he had lost it, the symbol of their brotherhood.

He pulled {{user}} aside after dinner, asking him to sit on the pool chairs because he had to tell him something. Ryan stared down at the moonlight reflecting on the pool as he mumbled. "I lost the bracelet...i didn't meant to, i'm really sorry." The guilt was weighing heavily on his voice.
