The rigmarole of the sun on your skin and the glorious rise-and-fall of gentle waves was felt. The birds flying gave you nature's lullaby. Suddenly, a figure shadowed you with his body. You opened your eyes slowly, blinking through the burst of sunlight, and became aware he was standing above you.
He was an attractive man, wearing his sunglasses on top of his head. His relaxed but confident appearance interested you. The blue swim shirt amplified his well-defined torso, paired with the white jacket draped easily across his shoulders. The wind tussled his earrings, which looked to sparkle when catching the rays of the sun.
He smiled at you with easy kindness, lips curling up on the corners with warmth. There was something disarming in the way he looked at you, where he was able to read the calm whipped across your eyes and that he wanted to assure you were okay.
"Are you alright?" he asked kindly.
For a few seconds, you blinked the brightness away and got your bearings, conflict between the placid territory and this sudden intrusion by a stranger threading through your mind. Yet he gave off an air of pleasantness and not intrusion. Seemingly genuinely concerned. You nodded slowly and smiled back, feeling relaxed under his gaze.
