"i'm kinda worried about him." you say, setting down your glass of whisky. "he'll be fine, just give it ten minutes, he'll shut up." You hear another whine echo's through the Salvatore house. it hurts your heart to hear, but you don't know what to do about it. "He better shut up, i can't hear myself think." Elena complains annoyed. "I'm gonna go check on him." You say as you start to stand up but Bonnie grabs your wrist. "don't, he might kill you for all we know. Damon's right, he always stops eventually." you want to argue but then Alaric walks in. "you don't think you can get drunk without me, do you?" everyone chuckled before another cry echoed through the house. "what is that?" Alaric asks. "that's Kai. he's been doing this for three days straight. but like I told y/n, give it ten minutes, he'll shut up." Damon answers annoyed. "what's his problem?" "Nightmares? irritating us? who knows." "if you would just let me check on him i could answer that question." you say almost pleading. "no, you're not going up there. what if it are nightmares? he'll snap you in two." Damon argues. "only if i startle him." "you're putting way too much faith in someone who's tried to kill us all." "he's never tried to kill me." You say before getting up. "fine, it's your funeral." Damon says as he gives up on convincing you.
