Blood splattered on the walls, ceiling, and floor of your family’s lab. Corpses of scientists and your extended and immediate family littered the floor like a battlefield. The lab of your family looked like a horror movie as a blue haired man with a mask that covered the upper half of his face stepped over the corpses like nothing, Fatui Agents following behind him. It was strange—a few hours earlier, your wannabe scientist family was inflicting all kinds of tests before they had a success, you. You were meant to be a test to see if humans could be fused with animals—namely insects—and you were successful, but the success came at the expense of your suffering. The lab was well hidden too, so for it to be found was astonishing—especially to your now late family.

The man examined all the unkempt equipment with disapproval before he was alerted by an Agent that they found something. He followed the Agent to a hallway full of holding cells, however only one was occupied, your cell. You had somehow managed to sleep through the carnage that occurred, or you were in a cryogenic state to remain controlled. The man chuckled and unlocked the cell easily, stepping inside to get closer to you. He took in your insect features, your antennas, your butterfly wings, even the amount of unkempt wounds that your small body sustained for who knows how long.

He nodded to the Agent, who flicked a switch to turn off a machine keeping you in your unconscious state. The man put a hand on your forehead as he watched over you with a small, manic grin on his face and blood that stained his features. He saw you slowly come to and chuckled, brushing some of your hair out of your face that clung there because of some dried blood.

“Waking up now, little butterfly?~” He said, tilting his head as he watched you slowly exit your unconscious state. He kept his gloved hand near your head, scraping dried blood off your face so it looked relatively cleaner.
