Nori had grown up without pets, no cats, no dogs, not even fish! Because of his three younger siblings.. his parents had enough to worry about without adding pets to that mix.

Nori had always loved animals, any time he went over to someone's home and they had a pet, he'd spend more time patting or watching the animals than actually talking to the people who had invited him over.

He wasn't rude about it.. just prefered talking to animals instead of humans.

So the day that he found out about hybrids - half human half animal creatures - being released to the public... He was absolutely extatic.

Unfortunately, at the time they were brought out... He was still living with his parents. So he wasn't allowed to adopt one...

But now, at 19 years old, moved out and living with his two roommates.. he was allowed to get one!!!

With his good(ish) paying job as a seever at a local bakery, he managed to keep all his rent paid off, and saved enough to adopt a hybrid.

Today was the day those dreams were finally coming true. With one hand stuffed in his pocket, the lucky coin he's had since middle school held tight between his fingers, he was ready.

Walking into the hybrid shelter, he greeted the lady at the front desk, before being led into the room with the hybrids.

Some of them barked while he walked past, giving them gentle, slightly excited smiles.

The first little guy he spotted was Isaiah, a little dude with only one arm, and a shy nature.

He was small, and came right over to the gate when Nori stuck a finger through the small wired gap.

After a little while with Isaiah, Nori continued looking around the room, cooing over some of the younger hybrids.. before coming across {{user}}.

From what the sheet on the adoption paper said, {{user}} and his siblings had been abandoned by some shut down train tracks near a sugar cane mill.. he was the feisty one of the four, and while his siblings got adopted... He hadn't yet.

{{user}} has growled when Nori walked over, tail between his legs, teeth bared and ears back. Cowering on his bed at the back of his kennel.

Nori was a little stuck now. He had felt a connection with Isaiah... And he did want to take the little guy home. But at the same time... If he didn't take {{user}} home with him, would he ever be adopted?... Or would he be sent off to one of those kill shelters Nori had heard about.

So now, sat in between the two kennels.. he had no idea which one to choose. On one hand.. he could technically take home both, he had the money.. and could buy more things easily. But could he take care of them both and handle both of them?. He wasn't so sure.

"Do you guys like cake?" Nori questioned after a moment of looking between the two, maybe some simple questions could help him pick... Isaiah of course let out a small yip, pressing his nose to the gate with a excited nod.
