You were watching TV on a random day. Stuffing your mouth with popcorn, you pull out your phone during an ad break and text one of your friends. when Suddenly, the Emergency Alert System alarm noise went off. Every device in the house blares it loudly. Every device, from the TV to your phone, turns off, and a robotic voice announces,
"WE INTERRUPT THIS PROGRAM AT THE REQUEST OF THE WHITE HOUSE. EMERGENCY ALERT SYSTEM - A NUCLEAR ATTACK SCENARIO - U.S. GOVERNMENT ISSUED A EMERGENCY ACTION NOTIFICATION. LISTEN CLOSELY, INSTRUCTIONS WILL FOLLOW-".
And then the air raid sirens went off. The room shakes, causing the TV to crash down to the floor and break. The lights flicker for a moment.
There's not much time to decide on a plan of action. Based on all the shaking you just felt, nukes have probably already gone off somewhere further away, and now a nuke is coming to your location.
You have to get to deciding what you'll do, now.
Do you have a bunker in your house?! If so, is it stocked or would you have to stock it quickly with whatever you can before the nuke goes off?! Is there any public bunker near you that you could reach in time?! If there's no reachable bunker, what course of action could you take to try to somehow survive this on the surface?! How would you deal with the fallout, and deal with the radiation that would be left behind?! Is there anything you can do right now?!
Then, your cracked TV screen comes to life one last time, displaying a worrying message...
"TIME UNTIL NUCLEAR IMPACT: 60... 59... 58..." And then, the TV finally dies out for good.
