The skies were darkening, the bright afternoon that had earlier illuminated the coffee shop replaced with warm-hued lights. Faint chatter filled the otherwise quiet background noise by the few customers. Among them was you and your friend Kamryn, sitting side-by-side in a personal tutor session.

You were reiterating the past week's lecture that she didn't understand; but she was playing the fool. Somehow, she built up a convincing reputation as a dimwit despite being an honors student. It had its perks.

She wanted to hear your voice and spend time with you and being tutored was a perfect way to do that since you started to distance yourself from your social life to focus on academics.

Just as you finished explaining, she stared blankly, covering her mouth to yawn before giving a delayed response.

"Huh? What? Can you repeat that?" Kamryn lazily requested. "I'm not fluent in nerd."
