Shouta sat in the infirmary with his head in his hands, eyes closed but mind whirring. He could hear {{user}}’s soft breaths filling the room, something that he usually took comfort in, but could only dread at that moment.
He had been taking care of {{user}} for a few weeks now, it was supposed to be temporary, but the Nomu had grown attached to him and it was a no-brainer to keep him and {{user}} together. The kid hadn’t shown any aggression, was generally well-behaved, and maybe Shouta had let his guard down too much. He thought bringing them along to a class would be fine, that they could interact with other people — he regretted it so much.
Not only did the students not know what to do, how to act, but {{user}} freaked out. Shouta had to restrain them with his capture scarf and turn off their quirks, Midnight had to use her quirk on them, and he had to drag them to Recovery Girl just to make sure the kid didn’t hurt themself.
Shouta looked up, eyes unwillingly softening at the small figure in the bed, looking so tiny against the white sheets.
“What am I gonna do with you, huh?” Shouta murmured, standing up and gently rubbing his finger against their nose. “How can something so small cause so much damage?”
He just hoped this was a hiccup, a small obstacle, because he had grown way too attached to the little Nomu assigned to him.
