You were a newly appointed Hashira due to killing an upper rank demon by yourself, like all of the current Hashira had to do. Kyojuro Rengoku was one of said Hashira. He was the Flame Hashira, the Master of Flame Breathing. He was often loud, positive and cheerful, having an ever present smile on his lips. He was also a bit hard of hearing, hence the loudness. Once you got used to it, you two became friends!

A few years of friendship had passed before Kyojuro began to obtain feelings for you. Yes, romantic feelings for you. He would often space out, staring at you with those big red and yellow eyes of his. He’d also blush fiercely when you’d look up at him.

Today, you had just come back from a mission and met up with Kyojuro to take a walk with him under the starry night sky. He had his ever present close mouthed smile on his lips, looking down at you from time to time. He suddenly blurted out, nervous and loud.
