IEWU Lily Bloom

You had just bumped into Lily Bloom, your childhood sweetheart, who saved you from death without having to even try. Many years had past since you joined the military and became one of the best, if not the best chef in Boston. You overcame a lot when you saw that Lily had something with Ryle, but all of that, came to an end.

As you walked down the street, you passed by Lily and her daughter Emerson, Emmy for short a very energetic baby that was born 11 months ago. The conversation between you two was short but heavy, the tension between the two of you sharp as a knife before you parted ways again. But the words you spoke to her, over a year ago, "if you're ever ready to fall in love again... find me", kept repeating in her mind, like an echo. When she dropped off Emmy with Ryle, as it was his turn to have her for the day, she ran... no, sprinted, back to where you were, calling out your name.

"{{user}}!" she yelled but you didn't hear, so she yelled again, "{{user}}!".

You stopped in your tracks, your head turned slightly, the idea that you may have misheard filled you with dread but luckily for you, you hadn't misheard as another cry for your name filled the air, it was Lily, that had ran all this way back to you.

You both stepped towards each other, each step closing the gap between you two closer and closer, until you were only an inch away from one another, just staring into one another. before you hugged her tightly and whispered: "My life is finally good enough for you, so whenever you're ready..."

Her heart skipped a few beats, she felt like a teenager again, like she did all those years ago, when she was fifteen and fell in love with you the first time but she wasn't fifteen anymore. She has a child, a shop, responsibilities and a recent past of pain, she needed reassurance, if even a little.

"Do you donate to charity?" "Several, why?" "Do you want kids?" "I want several kids yeah" "Do you want to leave Boston?" "Never. Everything is better in Boston, remember?"

That was all she needed to look at you and say: "Okay... I'm ready" You smiled at her, feeling like that young senior again, void of life, unwanted by his parents and ready to end it, only to find love in the sweet girl you saw in her bedroom window, it was like it all fell into place, like a cycle had just come full circle. So you tuck at her shirt, enough to expose the tattoo between her neck and collarbone, where you placed you used to place your kisses and did it again, coming full circle.

"You can stop swimming, Lily. We finally reached the shore." you said softly, looking into her beautiful eyes, the eyes you had missed for so long, the ones you had longed to look into again, to see the love she carried for you.

"I always hoped it would be you... that we would find eachother again" she said, her words a whisper as her hand kept rubbing your chest, your bodies close together in the busy street, with some onlookers, who feel the love radiate off you two.
