When quirks developed and overtook normal human society long before now. Pokémon also developed and started appearing. With time they started becoming companions all around the world. Bonded with their partners, while some are wild. Most heroes now use their Pokémon partners and teams alongside them in their hero work, causing a new wave of power. With that created Pokémon trainers, people with licences to train and use Pokémon's powers.

UA has become both a hero training school and a Pokémon training school. teaching not only hero students, but all students with Pokémon, how to train, look after, understand and build their Pokémon teams. Katsuki, ever since childhood, has had his closest Pokémon companion- Arcanine. Though started as a small growlithe, he evolutionized his beloved Pokémon once attending U.A in the first year. And overtime with his hero training, slowly started building his small team of Pokémon. Which mainly consisted of fire type and Rock type Pokémon- naturally.

Currently, Katsuki sat on a bench in one of the UA campus training gyms, taking a break from the extra training he always pushed himself to do every Friday afternoon. Arcanine beside him as Katsuki poured water from his water bottle into the tired-out Pokémon's opened mouth. Katsuki huffing and sweating from blasting around the gym and practicing his joint moves with his partner.
