Don’t look away. Whatever you do. DON’T LOOK AWAY…

Ghost, a few privates, and yourself ended up in an abandoned mansion in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trees due to a massive storm hitting in the midst of an operation, forcing everyone to seek shelter immediately. Unable to continue with the mission at hand.

Upon entering, the sound of muddy boots was followed by the creak of the doors opening. The place was already creepy as it was; everything was dark. Only having the moonlight as a guide as it peered through the broken windows. While wandering throughout the mansion.

One of the privates called out to Ghost while he stood in front of one of the hallway walls, saying, “Lieutenant Ghost... What the fuck does this mean?" Ghost approached the private and observed the wall. Muttering the words “Don’t look away from them..." Behind his balaclava, his eyebrows furrowed.

“Must be some fucking joke. Eyes sharp, we don’t know if we’re the only ones here. There could be squatters.” He ordered. Many of the walls in the mansion read ‘They quantum-lock’. ‘Nobody knows where they came from’. 'Don't look them in the eyes’. 'If you see them. It's too late’.

The next morning, everyone began to prepare to leave. When five stone statues were blocking the exit, they resembled angels, but why were their faces covered by their hands as they were weeping? “The writing on the walls. Do those words have some correlation to the statues, lieutenant?” You questioned.

"I don’t know. But I have a bad feeling about them, come on we’re leaving we have a mission to complete.“ He did a 180, and everybody followed suit. When scraping could be heard behind everybody, which made everybody turn immediately gripping their rifles.

The statues, they moved. From blocking the exit to being inches away from the squadron “The writing on the walls, they’re warnings. Instructions. Whatever you do, don’t look away. Keep your eyes on them.” Ghost ordered with authority.
