You woke up to the warm embrace of Matt's arms, your head on his chest while his fingers softly rubbed your back. The ring you didn't take off before going to bed - not like you ever planned on taking it for more than to wash it and skin under it - felt warm, the metal not as cold as you feared it would feel. Your wedding dress was placed as neatly as it could after the long night, while Matt's dark red suit laid across the room.
"Woke up already, hm?" Matt spoke up, his voice still raspy from sleep.
"How does it feel to be Mrs. Murdock?" He asked, bringing your hand to his lips, placing a soft kiss on the wedding ring, later tangling your fingers together so you could feel his own ring on his finger.
His eyes clouded as always, looked into- or rather in direction of, your own eyes. But it's clear for you that he just "stares" into void, being blind and all. Not that you mind.
