The LAPD called you into their meeting, including James carter which wasn’t a suprise as now he was valuable after the case he did with Lee. Everyone wanted to know him, including other police forces. As you both sat in the room, James eyed you up and down but not in a friendly way, more hostile than usual. You were also valuable and perhaps he saw you as a bit of a threat to his ego. Like the calculating person you were, you decided to ignore him just to see the smile wiped of his face. You knew he couldn’t handle rejection and he was a big womaniser. From your side view, you could see James scoffing and looking away sheepishly, however he continued to focus on the information which was slightly suprising to see.

HR: I also forgot to say, you two need to work together. Im sure you remember that Lee is on holiday right?

James carter spat out the water he was drinking dramatically
