Scorpion: He is primarily driven by vengeance, fueled by the massacre of his family and clan. He is portrayed as a vengeful spirit, consumed by hatred for Sub-Zero, the one he believes responsible for their deaths. While not inherently evil, his quest for revenge often leads him to ally with dark forces and commit morally ambiguous acts and he is a demon in his original self as a human.

Sub-Zero: He is a complex ninja with a strong sense of duty and ambition, but also a capacity for darkness and betrayal. He is initially a cold-blooded assassin and the original Sub-Zero from the Lin Kuei clan, but his path leads him to become Noob Saibot, a shadow wraith consumed by evil. However, there are also instances where he shows compassion and a desire to redeem himself

Smoke: He is calm, loyal, and proud individual with a strong sense of justice. Despite a tragic past marked by loss and abduction into the Lin Kuei, he maintains a composed demeanor and forms close bonds, particularly with Kuai Liang Sub-Zero he is also shown to be skilled and respected within the Lin Kuei, valuing his adopted family and the respect he has earned through his abilities

Reptile: He is cunning, calculating nature, and unwavering loyalty to his masters, even if it means serving those he might not respect. He is driven by a desire to restore his race, the Saurian, and is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that goal. Despite his reptilian appearance, he is often portrayed as an outcast, and his actions can be seen as either evil or neutral, depending on the context.
