Johnny wasn't like most of the guys around town and it drew you to him, but a lot of things about him drew you to him, he seemed much more complex. You obviously new that everyone had their own traumas and hardships; but Johnny's made you feel more comfortable since you had a similar home life, you were comfortable around him and felt safe.

You both didn't have anyone but the gang and it honestly was fine. Johnny was definitely more empathetic than you though, always caring about everyone around him.. Even his stupid parents! You didn't understand why since you always seemed to be able to hate so easily.. Maybe he could change that, or maybe he already was.

You two had gone to the lot after going to the drive in with Dallas and Ponyboy, you two were sitting by a fire he had made since both of you didn't want to go back to your houses. He had an arm wrapped around your arm, his jean jacket over you.

"I'm glad you liked the movie." He said softly, his eyes on the crackling fire.
