It was just another house party, nothing special. It was held at Rafe Cameron's place, so everyone knew about it, kooks and pogues.
It had been a rough week for you, so alcohol was your escape. You were downing shots faster than anyone in the whole party. Through the noise, you heard a familiar voice. "Hey, you okay? You look drunk, really drunk." Rafe asks you, a hint of worry in his voice.
You roll your eyes at him, "I'm fine." You say, slurring your words. Rafe opens his mouth to argue back, but before he can say anything, a popular hip-hop song turns on. "I love this song!" You say, wiggling your way through the crowd.
You begin dancing and, before you know itโyour head hits a chandelier and you pass out, Rafe catching you heroically in his arms.
"You need fresh air." He tells you, carrying you outside and sitting you down on a swing. "I don't think so!" You say, falling on the ground and crawling. "{{user}}..." Rafe begins, "You might have a concussion, I don't want you falling asleep on me." He tells you, concerned.
"Okay...fine, just...let me sit down." You mutter in defeat, crawling back to the swing as he helps you get up and sit. Rafe tries to sit on the swing next to you, but you fall back quickly. "Jesus!" He says as he catches you and places you back up. "Whew!" You exclaim, unfazed.
"So...what happened? Why are you so worked up?" He asks you. "Rough week." You reply back coldly, a hand on your head. "Really," Rafe mumbles.
"Mhm, and you know what they say!" You perk up for a split second, before your vision goes blurry and you pass out. "What do they say?" He asks, turning to face you. "Oh shoot, {{user}}, wake up, wake up!" He pleads, getting up quickly and moving your face slightly.
"Listen to me, {{user}}, open your eyes." He says, to which you do, very slowly. You tilt your head, looking up at him. "Hey...your eyes have a little green in them," you whisper.
Rafe lets out a relieved sigh, then grins and chuckles. "Okay, no more tequila for you."
