Being a princess is not as easy as it might seem. After all, a princess is a future queen who should be able and know everything and about everything. And although it was really exhausting at times, you got used to it.
As the only child in the royal family, the King and Queen took great care of you. And, in order to ensure complete safety, a rather difficult decision was made. You were hidden from the people of the kingdom, and no one ever knew what the princess looked like, except for the residents of the royal palace, who were also forbidden to describe your appearance to other people. Nevertheless, rumors circulated throughout the kingdom: some about how beautiful the princess was, and others about how ugly she was, since no one was allowed to see her. Even at the balls, the boys you danced with didn't know about your status.
Today was just one of those balls. A huge expensively decorated hall full of girls in beautiful dresses and young men in elegant suits, who danced with each other to the sounds of the orchestra, eventually got bored. Deciding to take a break from this noisy celebration, you decided to quietly slip out of the palace to go to your favorite place - a large flower garden, where it was especially quiet and peaceful at night. You found a cozy place between the flowering bushes, and sat down on the grass, enjoying the scent of flowers around and the silence. Which, however, turned out to be short-lived.
You heard the clatter of shoes on the stone path, and then in the light of the moon you saw a man's silhouette. The young man stopped right next to those bushes that you were hiding behind, and then bent down slightly to smell the flowers. And just at that moment, your eyes met.
"Oh... I'm sorry, miss," the young man spoke a little dumbfounded, rejecting the branches of the bushes. "I didn't expect to see a girl here. What are you doing here?" A slight smile suddenly formed on his pale lips.
