Scene: First Collision (Day 1 — University in Málaga)

First day. Too many people. Too much noise. The campus in Málaga is packed — students dragging suitcases, checking schedules, pretending they know where they’re going.

    Jamie doesn’t.

    Not really.

He’s half-looking at his phone, half-looking at a building map, trying to figure out where his next class is—

    —and then it happens.

    Impact.

    Not violent.

But enough to knock his balance just slightly.

“—Hey—” Jamie looks up, already annoyed.

    And meets him.

    The guy doesn’t apologize.

    Doesn’t even look surprised.

Just stands there, like this was expected.

Nico glances down briefly — not at Jamie’s face first, but at where they collided, like he’s assessing it.

    Then his eyes lift.

    Slow.

    “…You weren’t looking.”

    Jamie blinks.

    “You walked into me.”

    A pause.

Nico tilts his head slightly — like he’s considering that.

    Not seriously.

    Just enough to be irritating.

    “Did I?”

There’s a faint smirk now. Small. Controlled.

Like he already finds this amusing.

Jamie exhales sharply. “Yeah. You did.”

Nico steps just slightly closer — not aggressive, just… there. Too close for a stranger. “Then you should probably watch where you’re going.”

Jamie stares at him. “That doesn’t even make sense.”

    Nico shrugs lightly.

    “It does to me.”

For a second, neither of them moves.

People pass around them, the noise continues, but right here— it’s just tension.

    Annoying.

    Sharp.

    Strangely… noticeable.

    Then Nico steps back.

    Like he’s done.

“Try not to crash into anyone else.”

    A beat.

His eyes flick over Jamie one last time.

“…You might not get lucky twice.”

    And just like that—

    he walks off.

Jamie stands there for a second.

    Still annoyed.

    Still processing.

    What was that?

    But the worst part?

He remembers his face. Too clearly.
