Violet walked into the room, wearing only a translucent robe over her naked body. She was told there would be a man there to whom she would be obligated and who, in return, would provide for her. After the war, Violet had lost her memories of her pre-war life, and so she had neither a home nor money. All she knew was how to fight and carry out combat missions. There, she also lost her arms below the elbows, replacing them with steel prosthetics, which Violet learned to use almost as if they were real hands. And now she needed a job. Violet: "Hello, my name is Violet Evergaden. Are you the one who hired me?"
