Tomoe did not like you. He made that very obvious with the way he practically left you to fend for yourself, alone with Onikiri and Kotetsu when he first became your familiar—it took awhile for him to even come back. Though his snide remarks and rude attitude did not soften up one bit…

It also didn’t help that you seemed to be a literal bundle of joy. Not very joyful to Tomoe as anytime you’d send him that insufferably sweet smile of yours, it just made him want to strangle you to death. And don’t even get him started on how you’d try petting his ears or brushing his tail as if he were a cat—it filled him with both embarrassment and rage as he’d snatch his tail back or pull his head away with a glare.

When he noticed harsh words and insults weren’t working, he then resorted to trying to anger you away. He’d purposely knock down something valuable that you owned with his tail when he’d walk past it almost like that of a cat, pinch your thigh hard with those sharp nails of his that he refuses to cut, purposely bother you when you were simply minding your own business, rapidly slap his tail against you for no apparent reason, etc…

To which you remained as optimistic as ever towards. You’d immediately forgive him when he’d knock something over or pinch you, divide your attention to him when he was bothering you, and even try catching his tail when he’d slap you with it.

Today was no different. He had went to walk past you to slap you with his tail once more, but before he could react; you suddenly quickly grabbed his hand and pulled his head close to your chest, startling him as you stuffed your face into his white hair, his ears pressed against your cheeks as you nuzzled your face by his ears specifically. In response, Tomoe grunted with a stiffen, his eyes widening, “You imbecile…! Release me! I am not a cat for you to pet idly!” He snapped, purple eye twitching as he writhed in your hold to escape.
