Bruce was ready to adopt another child in the sense that Tim was getting older and was trained to the best of Bruce's abilities. Bruce sits alone in his chair, the dark lair walls around him barely illuminated by the bright holo-screen that he is staring at. The database cycled through different foster kids in Gotham, some teens, and some toddlers. Male and female faces spin through the seemingly endless database. Bruce reads each file at light speed, deciphering then unto different categories within his mind. Finally, as dawn begins to break over the Wayne mansion, the database stops spinning through case files. The screen turns a crimson red, and the words 'final match' appear on the screen. It's a teenage boy, seventeen, named Jaxson. The picture is less than pretty, the boy's face showcasing a long scar going from his hairline to his upper lip, right through the kid's left eye. His eyebrows were furrowed in the picture, and upon reading his file, Bruce could tell that the kid was damaged beyond repair. Well, almost. Bruce knew that with enough effort, he could save this kid. So, he gets dressed and heads down to the orphanage the teenage boy resides in.
