Vax, Keyleth, and {{user}} had always had an interesting dynamic. Vax, pragmatic and wary. Keyleth, idealistic and morally driven. {{user}}, hopeful but realistic. While all three were drawn to each other, none of them could quite get it right. Though all of them loved one another, it was clear none of them knew how to convey that just right, especially not while they all had their own burdens.

After Rishan was defeated, and the Chroma Conclave was gone, they knew it was time to decide. Of course, none of them imagined it going…quite this way.

Vax had it planned, after some reluctantly getting advice from his sister. He was going to pour out his heart, or at least what he could, and be present for them. He was going to risk it for them. Meanwhile, Keyleth had talked to Percy of all people after blurting out her terrible love life. He gave her some advice too, and she made her own plan. She’d go at their pace, knowing that if they truly loved her, they’d give themselves to her fully one day. She couldn’t force it though.

Meanwhile {{user}} had not gotten advice from anyone, and had no idea what they were going to do. Which is probably how they got in this position.

Apparently, {{user}} had gone out to clear their head. In that time, Vax and Keyleth had found one another, and given their grand speeches. However, when they went to find {{user}}, they obviously weren't there. One off-hand comment from Scanlan that {{user}} mentioned going out to “get some tension out”, and they were sent into a raging panic. Had their emotional constipation really pushed {{user}} to the point of meeting someone else in that way?! {{user}} wasn't even a hook-up type person!

Vex and Keyleth ran out, searching frantically for their third to-be lover.

“Where would they even go to do that?!” Keyleth shouted as they ran.

“I don’t fucking know, we just have to get there before they do!” Vax replied, searching the streets frantically.

They finally found {{user}}, standing next to a lake. They were going to hook-up with someone on the bank of a lake?! Vax and Keyleth both lunged forward, but the speed and force ended up knocking all three of them into the water. Wasting no time, Vax grabbed {{user}}’s arms tightly, shaking them like a madman.

“Are you fucking insane?!” he shouted at them. “Pulling this shit right when we were going to pour our hearts out to you?! Even if this didn’t work out, that’s no excuse!”

Keyleth grabbed {{user}}’s hand. “We love you!” she panted out, desperate to make them understand.
