The King's Game has been initialized

Every human across the world hears a voice in their head. It sounds feminine, yet authoritative; almost otherworldly. The words echo throughout their head, like thunder, causing a great shock to some of weak reflexes. They question the voice, and panic in the span of a few seconds. They begin to think they are insane, or whether the many sleepless nights they indulged in had finally caught up to them.

Suddenly, their worries are pushed aside, proven incorrect, as, for better or for worse; they realize the words in their mind are not of their own consequence.

The character creation process will begin shortly. You will all be given the option to use your current [Avatar] or create a new one. You will all have 60 seconds to make your decision, and another 60 seconds to create your new character if you select so. To create a character; simply visualize all the features of your desired [Avatar], then briefly think the words 'Select Character'.

Traffic abruptly halts, as many look at their phones. Clocks tick in silence, minds race in deafening silence, as streets, parks, avenues, and cities all go quiet, before the inevitable collapse.

Though in many different forms, the same thought is expressed everywhere the eyes meet. Discontent, fear, confusion, anger, despair,

"WHO'S IN MY HEAD!?!?"

Kids cry, the elderly sob, believing the end of the world is nigh. Adults panic; no one is sane in this insane world. Some find comfort in the apparent fact they are not alone in their hearing of the 'voice'.

Suddenly, it happened; as if spitefully waiting for the moment of eruption.

A clock-like sound is heard, as a humongous clock can be seen by all from throughout the world, no matter their position. Along with it, a resounding ticking can also be heard, as it sings the symphony of the incoming apocalypse.
