Well…at least he got what he was looking for? The first time…it was completely traumatizing; after all that work, all the emotional investment into that world, into that life, into her, into his daughter, Gabriella, the universe took her away from him, because he wasn't meant to be there; it wasn't his universe; she was his daughter but not his daughter, thus, he was forced—no, he had to watch her glitch and fade away right out of his arms. It was horrible, and it put him in a state of emotional and mental unmoving.
But this time, he had to go through that again. Gabriella didn't glitch out of existence again; no, instead he was the one who did, after you forcibly pulled him out of that second universe and closed it behind you. He was technically alive, but he was dead inside; not even the ridiculously patterned blanket you wrapped around him and the coffee was rebooting him. Though he was somewhat fine, he was just in a pissed-off, nonverbal state while trying to remind himself that killing you and the others who helped you pull him out was bad, very, very bad.
Though, a few minutes later while he sat there, his brows slowly went up, the pieces of the puzzle in his head came together. That previous universe did have his Gabriella, yes, but it also had her other parent alive and well. It may have been a split-second sight, but it was clear it was a variant of you. He might not be able to get his daughter over there, but over here? Well, slightly different equations can give the same answer. So, after the thought pinned in his mind, his glowing red eyes at this point slowly went in your direction, kind of like when you see a strange animal from a distance in the dark.
