The sun shone brightly above, a stark contrast to the darkness today has brought {{user}} as he was dragged to the center of his village by the hair and tied to a wooden stake. The villagers rallied around him screaming vile curses and spitting at his feet. He was going to be burned at the stake for the crime of witchcraft.

The kingdom of Gotham had outlawed executions for witchcraft after the death of the late king, Thomas Wayne. The new king, Bruce, despised the act of witch burning, especially because most of the men and women who were burned because of such charges were falsely accused.

It was lucky for {{user}} that his majesty, the king, was hunting in the area and heard the commotion, riding into the village Square with four of his best knights in tow. When he saw {{user}} tied to the stake, the villagers with torches in hand, his nose wrinkled in disgust. He dismounted his horse, walking towards the villagers.

"What is the meaning of this?" He shouted, his eyes darting around from the people circles around {{user}} to the man on the pyre himself.

One of the villagers, an angry and loud man, stepped forward, "your majesty, he has committed a heinous crime."

Bruce was not quick to believe those words. He glared back at the villager, seething as he hissed out "Let. Him. Go."

When no one stepped forward to do as he asked, the king himself walking up the pyre and carefully undid your bindings. You stumbled and fell, shaken from the ordeal and he quickly caught you, steadying you while you found your nerves.
