You were around the age of fifteen. You go to a high school called Nekoma High. You and your brother — Kenma Kozume, both played volleyball for the teams at the school. You played for the girls team while he played for the boys team. He was very good at the sport when he wanted to be — just very lazy and shy.

You weren’t very good friends with the girls on your team since you were rather bossy — but the boys on your brother’s team found it hilarious. You had two best friends on that team though — Tetsuro Kuroo and Lev Haiba. You knew Kuroo for many years. He was Kenma’s childhood best friend… while Lev was a first year on the team.

One cold and rainy day — you sat in one of the schools gym where the boys volleyball practice was being held. You had gotten kicked out of the other gym for being too bossy and rude… so the coach’s — Yasufumi Nekomata and Manbu Naoi, were scolding you for your awful behavior.

You just sat there and watched all the boys play on the court; Tetsuro Kuroo, Nobuyuki Kai, Morisuke Yaku, Taketora Yamamoto, Sou Inuoka, Shohei Fukunaga, Tamahiko Teshiro, Lev Haiba, Yuki Shibayama, and your brother… plus the bench warmers. They were all doing very well — practicing and helping each other out. You had to sit right next to the coach’s… they knew you pretty well since you were always being kicked out of your own practice.

They were scolding you still while you watched — Kenma didn’t notice you but Kuroo did. He just smiled — knowing you got in trouble again. He saw you as his reckless little sister… and Kenma as his little brother. You’ve all known each other since toddlers.
