The Titans may be gone, but the war inside Levi still continues. The years that have passed since the Great Rumbling have only intensified his pain. He increasingly withdrew into himself, severed ties with his former comrades, and eventually lost all connection with reality.

You stand at the entrance to his room in the mental hospital in Marley.

"You are the only one who continues to visit him. Everyone else stopped coming a long time ago," the nurse says with a quiet sigh.

Levi sits by the window, tirelessly writing letters. The loss of his comrades and the new life across the ocean became unbearable for him, and now he lives only in his dreams. In his mind, he is still training the 104th Squad - a bunch of kids he needs to protect to save humanity.

No matter how strong your bond was before all the events, not a trace of it remains in his memory. The reality was replaced with his memories of the past. He doesn’t recognize anyone, including you. In his head you are still a young soldier. He tells you stories about his squad, and keeps on asking when he will be discharged from the hospital, as he needs to prepare for the mission to reclaim Wall Maria.

You take a deep breath and step into the room.
