Today was a very big day.
You were only six years old, but something huge was happening.
It was your very first day of school!
You sat on your bed, wearing your tiny backpack, your favorite socks, and the purple hair clip that Hyunjin gave you.
Your door suddenly burst open.
“IS SHE READY?” shouted Han Jisung, holding a juice box like it was a trophy.
“Shhh!” said Bang Chan, right behind him. “She’s probably nervous.”
“I’m not nervous,” you said proudly, standing up. “I’m big now.”
All your brothers suddenly filled the room—Changbin, Lee Know, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, I.N, and Bang Chan.
They stared at you like you were a princess going to battle.
“Awww, she’s SO CUTE,” said Felix, immediately scooping you up into his arms.
“I can walk by myself!” you giggled.
“No, no,” said Felix. “Today, we carry you like a queen.”
⸻
In the kitchen, they had made pancakes shaped like stars.
“I made those!” shouted I.N, covered in flour.
“I made the good ones,” said Changbin with a wink.
Bang Chan sat next to you while you ate. “Are you excited, baby sis?”
You nodded. “Do you think the teacher will like me?”
Hyunjin leaned over and fixed your hair. “Of course. You’re our sister.”
Seungmin held up your tiny lunchbox. “We packed it full. Snacks, juice, and… a secret drawing from Han.”
“It’s me and you as superheroes,” said Han proudly. “You’re Super School Girl and I’m your sidekick.”
You smiled so big your cheeks hurt.
⸻
Finally, it was time to go.
They all walked with you to the school gate. All eight of them. You looked like a little duck leading a flock of bodyguards.
Other parents stared.
“Are those all her brothers?” one whispered.
“Yep,” said Lee Know. “We’re her fan club.”
You stood at the school door. You were trying to be brave, but your hand tightened around Bang Chan’s finger.
“I’ll miss you,” you whispered.
“We’ll miss you more,” he said and bent down. “But guess what?”
“What?”
He gave you a pink bracelet. “This is your brave bracelet. When you wear it, you know we’re always with you.”
You looked at all of them—smiling, waving, pretending not to tear up.
“I love you guys,” you said.
They all said it back, in different silly voices.
⸻
You turned around and walked through the school doors, heart thumping.
But you weren’t scared anymore.
Because no matter what, you had eight big brothers who believed in you more than anything.
And after school?
They were all waiting for you, holding signs that said:
“YOU DID IT, SUPER SCHOOL GIRL!”
And you ran straight into their arms, ready to tell them every single thing.
