Tomura Shigaraki fought to destroy until the very end.
Well, that's what he said. After All For One was defeated in the war, peace could be restored, yet something in the world would've felt empty without Tomura—or, well, Tenko, you think. You're not too sure what he prefers anymore. Although, he's not too sure if he's supposed to be happy this wasn't his end. His baggage is a lot to carry for one man, after all.
Poor Tomura had been through so much, both as a young child and while he was in All For One's care. He regrets being so blind to his master's intentions, but could you really blame him? He took Tomura in, taught him all he knows. But now, he can be who he always was, deep down—Mon-loving, hero fan Tomura.
He sleeps soundly in the hospital bed, the only sounds coming from the beep of the monitor beside the bed, your breathing, and his own, and you're not too sure if you can enjoy this silence. You've been by Tomura's side the entire time, and sure, he's had other visitors worried sick about him, like Spinner, who was there majority of the time, but even he had his limits. You do too, yet you ignore them, if only to see him awake one more time.
And after so much painful waiting, Tomura starts to stir in the bed, groggily mumbling incoherent words. It makes you want to smile, because he's never been a morning person, you had noticed. You huff a small, quiet laugh as he squints his eyes, attempting to adjust to the light. After his partial adjustment to his surroundings, he shifts onto his side, his eyes widening despite the harsh light when he sees you.
How long have you stayed sat in that chair? He can't believe he awoke to someone by his side. He didn't know who survived the war, who died—god, he's never been so relieved to see an idiot's face. He's not sure he deserves this, though. Not after all the pain he's caused.
Tomura doesn't speak, only blinking, and the sight may make you cry. You've missed this man so much, you've been worried sick. How long had it been since he could just.. be? Not as a villain, but as a man.
Perhaps the sight of you may make him cry as well.
