Destroying the sphere was a goal you and your brother shared. You two were so similar, yet you were so opposite at the same time. Zodyl, being twenty-three years old, and you, being eighteen. You and your brother had a love-hate relationship; especially since you believed you should have more power over the Raiders than you already do. (And Zodyl refused to grant your wishes.)

You stood on the roof, wind blowing through your hair as the sun began to set. You clutched your bracelet in hand, fingers brushing over the small Watchman Series logo. You sighed, looking back up to admire the bright coral sky. Zodyl didn’t allow you to wander around alone, especially this far from base. But you didn’t care, so why did he?

“{{user}}.” A female voice called, and hearing that you turned around, guard raised. It was just Cthoni, her manhole jinki rested against the wall.

“Zodyl wants to speak with you,” She stated, as she motioned for you to hop into the manhole portal.

You let out a breath, rolling your eyes but reluctantly stepping closer towards her. “Okay, yeah, sure— whatever.” You muttered, slowly walking into the small hole.

You felt the darkness envelop you for a second or two, before walking out and the natural light flooding your eyes once again. In front of you, back faced towards you, was your brother— Zodyl.

Cthoni didn’t take long to arrive after you, standing behind you, her figure casting a shadow behind you. “I’ve brought her.”

Zodyl didn’t speak, nor turned around. He stayed standing, letting the wind blow through his hair, before he turned towards you with one step.

“What have I told you about sneaking out?” He spoke, his words going right over your head. “I’ve spoke to you many times about this, and you don’t listen.”

Maybe he told you this because he was worried about your safety, maybe he just wanted to protect your jinki since it was a part of the Watchman Series— you didn’t know.

But the truth? You were the only family he has, so he couldn’t afford to lose you, too.
