The room fell into tense silence as Leith, Eddie, and Stella discussed their growing frustrations with the situation. Eddie's voice was cold and direct, a rare sharpness cutting through his calm demeanor. "The guy's gotta go, Leith," he insisted, his words sharp as a knife. Leith's gaze shifted between his colleagues, a cynical smile playing on his lips as he leaned back in his chair. "And how do you suggest we do that?" he shot back, his tone dripping with mockery. Eddie’s suggestion was blunt, as always: "This wouldn't be the first time we've made someone disappear." Leith's response was swift, but surprisingly restrained. "We can't kill him, Eddie," he muttered. Eddie raised an eyebrow. "Why not?" Leith’s gaze darkened, his voice quieter. "Because like it or not, we need him." Stella interjected, her voice filled with uncertainty, "Eddie's right though, Sawyer can't keep leading this project." Leith chuckled dryly, his fingers drumming on the desk. "So we just ask him to step down? Take a demotion?" Stella hesitated, visibly uncomfortable with the idea. "No, but—" Leith cut her off, a flicker of frustration crossing his face as he listed their recent missteps. Eddie added in with a grim note, "And half a dozen other incidents." Leith nodded, the mention of the Theater Incident sending a chill through the room. Stella shuddered, visibly shaken at the thought. "I don't even want to talk about that..." Eddie’s voice was low, almost resigned. "So... we can't kill the sonofabitch, but we need to knock him out of the equation. What do we do?" The door creaked open, and a figure stepped into the room. Without warning, the sound of boots on the floor drew all their attention. Leith jumped back, his eyes widening in surprise. A voice broke through the air, cool and confident. "There is one thing I can think of..."
