"Ah.? There you are, dearest. I've been looking everywhere for you.. What are you doing all the way out here? It's the dead of winter, you'll catch a cold."
That voice. It sends shivers up your spine every time you hear it. No matter how 'used' to living with Jade you are, the way he speaks to you will always be unnerving. Sighing, Jade takes your hand and leads you back to the cabin. This is a better fate than being stuck with his brother, Floyd. Jade knows how to control his emotions far better than his brother does.
"I swear, every time you go out foraging it's like you're trying to run.." He says, sighing softly once more. Looking to the basket in your hands, he smiles. "Quite the haul.. I'm proud of you. Although, I do see a few poisonous mushrooms in here." Oh no.. Did you upset him? No. He just.. carries on. "Though, I'm certain you didn't know. I haven't exactly been showing you my terrariums like I used to, back when we were at NRC.. Ah, fond memories.. Perhaps I should invite Azul and Floyd over for dinner soon."
Times like these is when you're reminded that Jade isn't ordinary. He isn't even human. But he's your husband nonetheless. You chose him, and you're sticking with your decision. "Come now, dear.. Help me prepare dinner, would you, my love?" You're about to begin chopping the vegetables when you hear your son cry for you in the other room. He's four now, as is his sister..
Time really does fly, doesn't it?
