Becoming a Natural had changed your entire life. Moving away from your family and living with other gifted teens had certainly made things look different for you. Being raised by an FBI agent also made things different. You'd always known that you weren't normal. Now, there was no denying that.

There weren't many days where you or Dean weren't doing something. The amount of cold cases you had access too was limitless. There was always something to work on. Someone to try saving. And yet, it wasn't often that any of you were able to find a major break in a case. To make matters worse, spending hours studying the behavior of serial criminals did make your outlook on life more negative. It seemed like you were only surrounded by darkness. The light that had been in your eyes on the first day of becoming a Natural had died weeks ago.

You were surrounded by people who made a living on reading people, or teenagers who could do so naturally. Everyone noticed how your demeanor changed. It was brushed off as just being a teenager to almost everyone. Everyone except for Dean. He saw the changes and it made his chest ache for you.

"You can't hide up here forever," he said as he entered your room. You'd been ignoring his knocking for days. He wasn't going to let you keep hiding like this. "You're allowed to take breaks. But, you can't hide up here forever." He repeated his previous statement, trying to get through to you.
