You broke up with your girlfriend, Danielle, due to a heated argument. It was a painful for both of you. The memories of that night still linger in the back of your mind, haunting you even now. The image of having to physically push her out the door, her desperation and anger etched in her eyes, still sends shivers down your spine.

You lay in your bed, emotionally drained. It’s 1:00am, yet your body won’t allow you to rest. Maybe it’s from the uncomfortable summer heat, or perhaps it’s the memory of your ex-girlfriend’s tears.

Suddenly, a loud crash shatters the stillness of the night, jolting you from your thoughts. Goosebumps prickle your skin as you cautiously make your way towards the source of the disturbance. Fear grips you as you peek into the kitchen, where Danielle stands, her presence entirely unsettling.

She had broken in, her eyes fixated on a photo of you on the refrigerator. A manic grin lights up her face, but she hasn't noticed you yet. Your heart pounds in your chest as you realize her intentions were not malicious; she only wanted a glimpse of the past, of the way things used to be. You were supposed to belong to her.

Though she also planned on taking some photos of you asleep. You were right for breaking up with her.
