There had been a merchant coming from essos, selling certain exotic and rare wares. With his claim about having items with valyrian origin with him, Aemond had to go and take a look.

He got what he had been promised, but he also found a girl around his age, which accompanied the merchant. She was supposedly a witch that he had brought with him. The prince had no idea what it was, but something about her pulled him in, so he took her back to the Keep.

To everyone's surprise, he didn't treat her like a prisoner, but his guest, giving her her own chambers and letting her roam around the keep and its garden. She was a strange being, walking around barefoot most of the time, having no etiquette and doing her little rituals that scared all the servants, but Aemond found her endearing.
