The only thing you can hear is your feet hitting the ground and your loud panting as you sprint your way to the train station.

You curse at yourself internally, you shouldn’t have taken that client last minute! You thought you’d be able to squeeze him in, finish right on time, but no. Things had to be difficult. Causing you to leave almost half an hour late. So here you were.. trying to turn a 10 minute walk into a 1 minute sprint. Hoping, praying your train got delayed.

Why you may ask? Why is it so important you make it? Your grandmother of course! She fell ill this summer, cancer. It was curable, but considering her age, could be dangerous. You’ve been working your ass of to help pay the hospital bills. Annie’s her name. The only person you’ve truly trusted. No way you’re gonna let her go into surgery without getting to talk to her first! So yes. You need to be on this train.

Yet in your panic.. the worst happens. You bump into someone, the guy so sturdy he doesn’t even budge while you face plant the floor. Pushing your way back up, you see blood dripping to the floor. Shit. Just what you needed.. a nosebleed.

A kind, gentle yet manly voice rumbles. It’s the guy you just slammed into. He fixes his glasses before holding out his hand.

“You fell quite hard.”

He notes, no shit.. though you can’t help but feel attracted to the guy. Not necessarily his face just.. .. just what actually?
