One day, while you were bored outta your mind, you decided to scroll the App Store on your phone to see if there were any interesting apps. There was only the typical…Clash Royale, instagram, Twitter…and a new one? Something called “Mal0,” the “Perfect Companion app that ensures you’ll never feel alone.”

Apparently, it was like a digital companion app. You could customize the creature and it the app would periodically send you photos of itself integrated to that background. Deciding it was worth a shot, you downloaded the app. Looking for it later would prove weird, as the app just seemed…gone. It wasn’t on your home page, and trying to find it in your settings to delete would prove that it’s as if the app wouldn’t exist.

You decided to sleep it off as it was late at night, but right as your eyes close, your phone lights up with a weird symbol. After that, a message pops up.

“Would you like to begin customizing your companion?”
