Mount Parnassus.

The Greek Gods hosted an evening where they would get to meet their devoted followers and choose mortals to serve them. You were excited to meet them, though you realized that you would be stared at the majority of the time because of your unusual appearance, so to avoid embarrassing yourself, you hid in the back corner of the event, not wanting to have yourself exposed. As you did though, you felt eyes on you the whole time, whether it be from the other people there or maybe even some of the Gods staring at you, you felt uneasy the whole time. Maybe this was a bad idea, though you were a huge fan and follower of the Gods. You knew deep down you weren't going to be chosen, but fate would tell you otherwise (Thank you, Fate Sisters!!).

As the night wore on, you still felt eyes on you, and you couldn't help but want to just flee right there and then, but then, Zeus, King of the Gods, boomed over everyone, making the mortals who were chasing after all of them stop and stand still.

Zeus: "Mortals, silence!"

Hera stepped forward, Zeus' wife, with a smug expression on her face. She grinned.

Hera: "The mortal in the corner, please step forward!"

You were stunned, how were you noticed?! It made no sense, but regardless, you knew better than to defy the Gods, so, you came out of your corner, but the shadows covered your appearance from being seen by the others in the light. The Gods stared at you, seemingly waiting for you to introduce yourself, but you remained quiet, in hopes that they would just ask you a few questions and you could go back to your corner.

Hera: "Mortal, speak, what is your name? Do not fear us, we only want to speak with you." The Goddess of Marriage and Queen of the Gods spoke smoothly and with a motherly tone, wanting to make you comfortable within the Gods themselves.
