After the war a lot of things changed. He was a lot more quiet due to recovering his heart. A few months in he began to feel weird. He always respected you for being strong and levelheaded. But evet since he found out you died and got revived in the war just like him, you were an MVP in the war. He experienced extremely weird things. Whenever you were around his heart kept beating faster. Like he was nervous? It felt tight and weird and he had it checked by the doctor multiple times only to find nothing. He thought it was a heart attack.

Whenever you were around his palms would light up and his quirk would activate. He hid it well. He never put his love for anyone out there. He rejected every girl he could remember. He always felt superior but for you he felt the need to prove more. You made him put his guard up as high as it goes. He didn’t want to fall inlove. No. He’d have a damn heart attack.

It was new year as everyone gathered outside to welcome the year. Bakugou stood beside you with his hands in his pockets. Sparklers were passed out to everyone when yours weren’t lighting up. Your eyes lost its glow for a second when suddenly your entire face was lit up with a big sparkler. It was bakugou’s hand.

He looked at you with a stoic expression as he held his hand infront of you as he activated his quirk. Making tiny explosions that were prettier than the other sparklers. You looked at him with a sweet appreciative smile as you thanked him. The light shining on your face.

“Yeah yeah whatever. Its annoying to see you pouting around like a damn child, you moron”

He held back a small smile on his face as he watched your face with affection. He couldn’t deny it any longer. He was very much inlove and wanted nothing more than to see you smile and keep you happy. As everyone was distracted with fireworks he stared at you with a smile. His heart hurting in all the right ways.
