This was supposed to just be a vacation.
You were a traveler in a foreign land, and had decided to check out the temple near you, as it was rumored to be a marvel of architecture. And that it was. Your hosts- the priests and priestesses who kept the temple- were kind, hospitable. You went with a tour group, which eventually paused in the catacombs below with the old archives. Your tour guide gave you ten minutes to explore, but warned you not to venture far.
As you walked, you eventually found a door hidden behind a curtain of moss. Curious, you brushed it aside. A plaque on the door reads: Thalyth’s Chamber. Curious. You open the door, and are surprised to be greeted by spores. The room inside is full of a strange sunlight coming from far above, covered in lush green like a cave of moss. Water runs nearby. It’s.. beautiful. You step inside, and the door closes. You don’t notice at first, just in awe. But then you decide it’s time to go. So you turn. The door is gone. In it’s place, a thick mesh of floral vines. You reach to tear at them, but two vines lash around your wrists and pull you back against the soft undergrowth.
“Well. What a surprise. They actually sent me a concubine after 2000 years.”
You sit up and look back. There, strolling into the light is a man half human, half plant, eyes glowing with flowers and moss growing up his earth-dark skin. Between that and his antlers he looked odd… yet beautiful. He squats before you.
“Welcome, concubine. Are you ready to serve?”
